THE A2/AS-LEVEL

GCE A-Level are two-year study courses normally taken by students after they have completed their Genernal Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examinations. A levels are seen as one of the major routes into higher education and employment in the UK.

At Katherine & King's College of London, we offer carefully structured A2 and AS programmes to suit the needs of individual students. Every student has a personal tutor, allocated to them during their stay at KKCL, to help and assist them in choosing and applying to universities.

The AS-Level Programme (Lower Sixth)

This AS Level Programme is designed for students who have achieved a minimum of 5 passes at GCSE, or equivalent. For some AS-level subjects, a pass in the subject at GCSE is essential. Most students prefer to study 4 subjects at AS level in their first year of Sixth form.

The A2 Programme (Upper Sixth)

This A2 Programme is designed for students who start their second year of A-level study, having achieved success at AS-level. All students will be prepared to sit their examinations in June.
