  ASSOCIATION OF BUSINESS EXECUTIVES QUALIFICATIONS (ABE)  
 


The Association of Business Executives (ABE) enhances the intellectual, social and economic development of relevant, high quality, affordable business and management qualifications. Since 1973, ABE has offered a suite of progressive flexible and affordable business qualifications, covering:

  • Business Management
  • Business Information System
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

ABE is recognised as the qualification of choice of employers and aspiring business professionals around the world. Each year many ABE students progress to the final year of Bachelors degree or on to Masters degree.

REGISTERING AS AN ABE STUDENT
Registration can take place at any time. Students should be aware of the closing dates for registration and examinations as these are strictly adhered to. As soon as your registration has been processed successfully, you will receive a welcome pack. Please note that it allows up to 2 weeks to receive your welcome pack, however it may take longer during busy periods prior to exams.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
ABE offers various entry points on to the ABE course, depending on previous academic qualifications. ?For international students, applicants should demonstrate competence in English by the attainment of one of the following:

  • British Council - Intermediate Certificate in English
  • LCCI - English for Business (EFB) 1st or 2nd level
  • Pitman/City and Guilds - English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English for Business and Communication

Diploma
Applicants must have obtained one of the following:

  1. ABE Certificate
  2. Two "A" Level passes plus four GCSE passes at Grade A, B or C, two of which must be English and Maths
  3. Overseas qualifications which may be accepted by the Registrar as being equivalent to the above

ABE also welcomes applications from candidates without formal qualifications who have been in appropriate employment for at least two years. A reference letter from employer(s) must accompany such application.

Advanced Diploma
Applicants must have obtained one of the following:

  1. ABE Diploma
  2. A UK Honours Degree or Overseas equivalent Other recognised qualifications of approved Overseas Institutes of Higher Education

 

 
 
HOURS PER WEEK: 15 hours
CLASS SIZE: 12 average
MINIMUM AGE: 16+
COURSE STARTS: September/ February
DURATION: Diploma Level - 2 years
 

Advanced Diploma - 1 year

 
 

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE
We acknowledge the importance of practical experience, hence students at KKCL will benefit from our ¡®ABE 1+1 Programme¡¯. Students will gain practical knowledge and be able to practise their skills within a real business environment during term time or holidays through our corporate partnerships in the UK. This programme is open to all of our ABE students after they have successfully completed the diploma level.
