Host Family --------- Accomodation Application Form and Application Procedure

The College has recruited a number of local families to create hostel-type living. This accommodation is within a 4/5 mile (6-7 kilometres) radius of the College, mostly close to shops, buses and entertainment facilities. You will experience English daily life with your host family. It will be a memorable language and culture exchange.

Host family accommodation usually offers accommodation with breakfast and evening meal. All the host families are personally known to, and visited by KKCL, and should you encounter any problems during your stay you can contact the Accommodation Office to discuss your difficulties – if necessary a new host family will be found.

A personal service is offered to each student, allowing you to state your preferences (e.g. quiet house, use of kitchen, friendly hosts, no pets, plenty of conversation etc.) and Accommodation Office does its best to satisfy these requirements. A description of suitable home stay will be sent to you. Consequently, you (and your parents), have the security of knowing that when you arrive in London you will have somewhere safe, clean, and affordable to live.

N.B. Students are required to stay a minimum period of one term (12 weeks). This is a contractual agreement and you will therefore be liable for the rent for the entire period of the Licence.
