Renting a Home by Yourself --------- Accomodation Application Form and Application Procedure
The London area offers a wide range of privately rented accommodation especially shared houses and flats. Many of these properties are let through private landlords and private letting agents. There are some easy ways to find a property from private landlords, such as newspaper (The Loot), Internet (www.gumtree.com etc.) or from the Student Notice Board in the College (where the landlords will leave letting message). The Accommodation Office can offer students help with private accommodation such as checking contracts, negotiate with landlords etc. If you need the Accommodation Office to book it for you, you will have to sign the minimum of 6-month contract and pay one-month rent as deposit together with one-month rent in advance and a non-refundable 50 GBP booking fee.
